Introducing the NEW CACHE Level 3 Award in Transition to Playwork
(from Early Years) (QCF)
- Do you hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification that covers the National Occupational Standards for Children’s Care Learning and Development, or equivalent?
- Are you at least 18 years of age?
- Do you work in an out of school play setting, such as an after school club, holiday playscheme, adventure playground or parish/rural play provision?
If your answers to the above questions is YES, this new qualification may be for you!
This new qualification is based on the National Occupational Standards for Playwork and has been developed for Early Years practitioners who would like to broaden their knowledge and work in playwork settings. (It does not, however, confirm occupational competence as a playworker)
There are just 2 units to complete – covering the theories and principles of play and playwork and how to support the needs and rights of children to create diverse, inclusive play environments. They also cover how to support children and young people to manage risk, establishing and maintaining links with other organisations and individuals, and organisational frameworks.
The first programme for CACHE Level 3 Award in Transition to Playwork (QCF) will start with Induction and an introduction to the Playwork Principles on:
Wednesday 25th May 2011, 6.30 – 9 pm at MKPA Kiln Farm
Training days will be on:
Saturday 28th May 2011 9.30 am to 2.30 pm MKPA

Additional 2 training dates to be arranged for September 2011
