Free Summer Play Sessions 2010
Over the course of the summer, MKPA hired an extra 25 pairs of hands to run our ever-popular Open Access Play Sessions.
We ran a massive 900 hours of play activity in total, funded by Parish Councils across the city, in 50 localities, providing children with the opportunity to enjoy arts, crafts, sports, games and use the inflatable equipment. The sessions were very well attended, running in the usual 10.00am – 12.30pm and 2.00pm – 4.30pm slots. The weather was kind and no sessions had to be cancelled.
Many thanks to all of the Summer Staff, who worked extremely hard, the Parish Councils for supplying the funding, the Parents and Carers who attended, but most of all the thousands of children who came along and made all of the planning worthwhile.
